Jiu-jitsu and MMA fans alike will be able to witness an exciting faceoff when Kron Gracie and Cub Swanson face each other at UFC Fight Night, according to ESPN.
Gracie (who, yes, hails from the same family as all the other famous Gracies in BJJ) is so far undefeated in MMA. Having previously fought for Rizin, he won his first UFC fight — which was the fifth fight in his MMA career — against Alex Caceres in February. He’s finished all of his fights so far with a submission.
Swanson, on the other hand, has been in the MMA game for a while. Currently 25-11, he had his first fight about fifteen years ago. Swanson himself is a BJJ black belt under Rigan Machado, so even though he’s lost his last four fights, he shouldn’t be underestimated if the fight goes to the ground against Gracie.
The venue for the fight hasn’t been decided yet, but it will take place on October 12 of this year.
