Mackenzie Dern‘s date and opponent for her first ever match in the UFC has been announced.
Dern will be fighting March 3 at UFC 222 against Ashley “The Spider Monkey” Yoder.
Yoder has lost her first two matches in the UFC, first at the hands of Justine Kish, then Angela Hill. However, before her UFC debut, she rode a four-fight win streak, winning three matches in BAMMA USA and one in Invicta. Three of the wins on her streak came by way of submission (all armbars) showing that her upcoming match against Dern might be a fight between two submission specialists.
The UFC has not announced whether or not Dern will be in the main card or the prelims.
