Mark Zuckerberg Tells Joe Rogan, “Jiu-Jitsu Is The Best Sport”, Could Compete For 40th Birthday

It seems that Meta’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, is in fact a human, or at least has given us his best evidence yet.

While making a recent, surprise appearance on Episode #1863 of The Joe Rogan Experience, Zuck revealed his admiration for the sport of jiu-jitsu and MMA in general. Apparently, he has been training for nearly a year after being introduced to jiu-jitsu through his surfing buddies. Both Zuckerberg and Rogan acknowledge the undeniable connection between surfers and jiu-jiteros as Zuck expresses his love for the sport. “It really is the best sport. The question isn’t, ‘how did I get into it?’ The question is, ‘how did I not find out about this until now?”

Zuckerberg has been training under Prof. Dave Camarillo at Guerrilla Jiu-Jitsu Academy and asks the question, “Where has this been all my life?” He jokes that his life made a wrong turn when he decided to take up fencing competitively instead of wrestling.

Since becoming a martial artist, Zuckerberg has brought along multiple friends for their drop-in class experience. He claims that 100% of his references have continued to train.

As Joe recognizes the recent competitive achievements of Tom Hardy and Mario Lopez, Zuckerberg says that he might try his hand at competing for his 40th birthday in May of 2024.

Zuckerberg’s achievements in tech and business have made him one of the most influential people on the planet. With his interest in jiu-jitsu, the sport is primed for growth. With Facebook’s Facebook Watch platform, it could be possible to see more jiu-jitsu and MMA-related content added to their streaming catalog.
