Motherly Advice Helps Ronda Rousey Move On From UFC, And It Can Help You Too

We’ve all come to a crossroads at some point in our life. How did you choose which path to take? In a recent interview with Submission Radio, Ronda Rousey’s mother, Dr. AnnMarie De Mars discussed Ronda’s decision to leave MMA.

Dr. De Mars explains, “I think everybody needs to know when to go, and when you’re in a sport – and I say this for anybody, not just Ronda or UFC or judo or whatever – but when you’re in a sport and when the tournament’s over the biggest thing is relief that you didn’t lose or relief that it’s over – that’s the time to go. You know?”

Based on her mother’s comments, it’s clear that Ronda was no longer enjoying her career as UFC’s Bantamweight golden girl. It can be hard to move on from something that defined you for so long though. Fortunately, Ronda’s decision to transition to WWE superstar seems to be paying off both financially and personally.

Ronda Rousey and her wrestling partner, Kurt Angle, defeated Stephanie McMahon and Triple H in her WrestMania debut this past weekend. Her mother is fully supportive of her transition saying, “I think she’s really enjoying the journey, and I’m really happy.”

It’s important to recognize when one chapter of your life is ending. With her mother’s advice, Ronda was able to capitalize on her time in the UFC and successfully to transition into a lucrative deal with WWE.
