Nick Rodriguez To Face No-Gi World Champ Victor Hugo in F2W 135 Superfight

This one’s gonna be good.

2019 ADCC silver medalist Nick Rodriguez will square off against 2019 No-Gi Worlds open champion Victor Hugo, courtesy of Fight 2 Win Pro. The pair meet on the mats in Sacramento, California, on January 18th.

Rodriguez, known affectionately as “The Black Belt Killer/Slayer/Assassin/Etc.,” has been collecting wins against higher belts for well over a year now, most notably seasoned competitors like Cyborg Abreu and Mahamed Aly. He is a F2W Purple Belt Pro belt winner and was very publicly promoted from blue belt on the ADCC podium back in late September.

Hugo missed dominating no-gi Worlds this year as a double champ by a single advantage point, losing to Cyborg Abreu in the finals of their ultra-heavyweight division. Since being awarded his black belt in early 2019 he has won the Las Vegas Open, ACBJJ World, and UAEJJF Grand Slam championships.
