Where do you go after you’ve achieved the distinguished rank of 9th degree black belt — i.e. red belt?
That is a question 9th degree red belt Flavio Behring had to grapple with (pun intended) when he had “completed his cycle in the red belt.” He couldn’t be promoted to 10th degree; that is a rank reserved solely for “Gracie patriarchs.”
Instead, he went full circle and donned a white belt…with a red bar, that is.
