The Smart Way To Come Back To Jiu-Jitsu After A Long Time Off

Many of us are experiencing an extended break from jiu-jitsu for the first time since stepping onto the mats. As some gyms start to reopen, it can be tempting to jump right back into the fray as though you’d never stopped drilling heel hooks and armbars at all, but anyone who’s come back from a tough injury will tell you that may not be the best idea.

Take it from Nick Albin, a.k.a. Chewy of Chewjitsu. In this clip, Chewy warns against the dangers of coming back to training too quickly. And given that he’s someone who’s apparently had two knee surgeries before, he seems like a good person to listen to. Hear his advice below:
