Check out this incredible open-weight jiu-jitsu match at the 2016 Modern Flow Jiu Jitsu Tournament (Wayne, Michigan). It was a true David-versus-Goliath match where “David” utilized some impressive skills to defeat his much bigger adversary.
Size definitely matters in BJJ, but this 15-year-old proved that, with the proper skills, you can at least hold your own against a bigger opponent.
The tournament was submission-only and used EBI (Eddie Bravo Invitational) and IBJJF (International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation) rules.
