Recently, Girls In Gis came to Oklahoma for the second time. This event taught girls and women of all ages various BJJ techniques. Some of the training is designed for self-defense. However, part of the event is designed to promote Jiu-Jitsu in general. Participants were taught basic BJJ moves while donning iconic gis.
Girls In Gis is the perfect educational experience for women that might be interested in Jiu-Jitsu. Although the event is short, the information and skills learned can lead to long-term benefits. Perhaps the event will return to Oklahoma for a third time next year.
