A Neuromuscular Disorder Once Left Her Unable To Walk. Now, She’s A BJJ Blue Belt


Noelle Muratore lives with a neuromuscular disorder called Congenital Myasthenic Syndrome, which has symptoms that include severe weakness and loss of mobility. CMS has left Muratore with numerous challenges in life, at times leaving her unable to walk. But after being diagnosed and receiving proper medication, she was able to challenge herself in new ways. Eventually, she found Brazilian jiu-jitsu at Capital MMA in Virginia, and from there, a whole new chapter of her life began.

Muratore is now a BJJ blue belt, and while this rank is a significant accomplishment no matter what your background is, it’s an even bigger achievement for this young woman who has already overcome so much. Watch the video below to learn more about her inspiring story:
