Tonight’s fights were a reversal or roles. Cody Garbrandt did to Dominick Cruz what Dominick Cruz usually does to his opponents, and Amanda Nunes just did to Ronda Rousey what Ronda Rousey has always done to her opponents.
Amanda opened up with huge punches, tagging the former champion early. Forty-eight seconds into the fight, she did not let up, and referee Herb Dean had no choice but to stop the fight while Ronda just stood there.
As she has been doing since the fight was announced, Ronda did not stick around for any media attention. After her loss, she just walked out.
