Andre Galvao’s MMA return will be with ONE Championship.
It seems that he’ll be taking on both MMA and grappling bouts, as the promotion made the announcement to a post on Instagram, “BREAKING: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu legend Andre Galvao has signed with ONE to compete in both mixed martial arts and grappling competitions! Who do YOU want to see Galvao face in his ONE debut?”
For those wondering about Galvao’s upcoming ADCC match against Gordon Ryan, there hasn’t been an official announcement made yet. However, Gordon Ryan previously signed with ONE in March of 2021, just before his medical hiatus.
The potential for a match-up between the two should be just around the corner. Of course, ONE Championship also has Marcus “Buchecha” Almeida under contract, so the promotion seems interested in building its roster of world-class heavyweight grapplers. Any bouts between these 3 is bound to make headlines.
