On Friday, August 4, ADCC veteran and multiple-time IBJJF world champion Diego “Pato” Batista will take on fellow Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt Rodrigo Marello in a submission grappling showdown at ONE Fight Night 13.
Though Marello enters the bout with a thinner resume of grappling accolades than Pato, he’s grown a notable fanbase in his own right ever since pulling off a record-breaking fifteen-second submission at ONE 161 — the fastest ever in ONE Championship history. The battle takes place in Bangkok, Thailand, alongside a long-anticipated MMA clash between Brazilian jiu-jitsu great Buchecha and Senegalese powerhouse Reug Reug.
