BREAKING: UFC’s Josh Samman Passes Away

Tragedy has hit the mixed martial arts world, as UFC middleweight and The Ultimate Fighter 17 contestant Josh Samman passed away today.  He was only 28 years old.

According to the Tallahassee Democrat, Samman was found unresponsive on Thursday.  Some speculated that it was due to a heroin overdose, but Samman’s mother denied this.

And in spite of speculation, there was no heroin found in Josh’s system whatsoever. No matter what people are posting on social media.

According to Hollywood Police Department spokeswoman Miranda Grossman, no signs of foul play were discovered.

Josh Samman leaves behind a 12-4 record in MMA with two Performance of the Night bonuses.  He was also a talented writer who wrote for UFC.com and BloodyElbow.com.

According to his mother, Josh touched many lives and loved inspiring others.

The reason I am making this statement is because Josh touched so many lives, and loved inspiring others, especially young people. I don’t want them to lose faith in him, and whatever he brought out in them, because of the lies.  He would want them to ‘never give up.

The Jiu-Jitsu Times will keep you updated on the details of this tragedy as more information becomes available.
