BJJ legend Caio Terra earned another stripe of recognition for his time and skill on the mats.
Terra, who has a dozen world titles to his name and is the head of the Caio Terra Association, shared the good news on social media, showing that he received the promotion from Professor Paulo Mauricio Strauch. Strauch promoted Terra to black belt in 2006.
“On my recent trip to Brazil I stopped by master Strauch’s academy and he awarded me with my 4th degree.
Thanks to everyone who has been a part of my journey, it truly means the world to me. Thanks to Master Strautch who has always supported me in my dreams, your lessons on and off the mat have been priceless over the years.
It’s still surreal, 14 years as a black belt and hopefully many more to come!”
