He might be a fierce competitor in MMA but Demian Maia has a softer side as well, especially when it comes to little kids. This was clearly on display at UFC 204 in Manchester when a boy had the most memorable experience of his young life inside the Octagon.
The lad had a chance to spar with the Brazilian master and even got to wear a champion’s belt around his waist. He proudly showed it off to the crowd which erupted in cheers. In his Facebook post, Demian shared a video of the boy and said that sports should inspire and be a force for good.
