Watch Ryron Gracie Trap & Roll 14 Cops In A Row

The very first lesson taught at many jiu-jitsu schools, including the Gracie University, is the trap-and-roll escape. It also happens to be Ryron Gracie’s favorite all-time move and one he catches with regularity, including in his Metamoris 1 match against Andre Galvao. At a recent Gracie Survival Tactics seminar, Ryron taught the move to every cop in attendance, from white to black belts. They sparred and Ryron told them exactly how he would get out of their mount. Watch as he pulls off the love with an uncanny touch, masking the details together with the elbow escape to make for a nearly unstoppable defensive move.

If you are timid about trying out a class at your local jiu-jitsu school, GU is running a New Years sale for the month of January at half off the regular price for a gi and a month membership. Get on the mat and try the most basic, yet one of the most effective BJJ moves for yourself, if you haven’t already!
