F2W 182: ADCC Veterans Dante Leon & Davi Ramos To Face Off In Main Event

Fight 2 Win returns tonight with a star-studded event in East Bay, CA, with a main card that promises to be an absolute treat for jiu-jitsu fans.

Headlining F2W 182 is a match between ADCC veterans Davi Ramos and Dante Leon. Ramos won gold at ADCC in 2015, adding to an impressive list of accomplishments that also includes gold at the No-Gi Brazilian Nationals in 2010. Ramos has only competed twice since 2019, and both times were at F2W events. His last appearance was just last month at F2W 177, and he’ll be hoping to put himself back in the win column with a win against Leon.

Ramos won’t have an easy time of it against Leon. Part of a younger generation of grapplers, Leon has proven himself to be one of the biggest stars of his time, picking up a No-Gi Worlds win in 2019 and two No-Gi Pans championship titles in the two years leading up to that. Leon has been competing at F2W events since the promotion’s card numbers were still in the double-digits, more recently picking up wins against names like Johnny Tama. His last appearance for the promotion was at F2W 164 earlier this year, and he’s certain to give the formidable Ramos a run for his money.

The co-main event will see Edwin Najmi and Jackson Nagai face off on the stage. Most of Najmi’s matches in 2020 and 2021 have taken place on F2W cards; he most recently faced Johnny Tama at F2W 180, and last year, he picked up wins against Benson Henderson and Osvaldo “Queixinho” Moizinho, among others. Nagai, who picked up a silver medal at Pans 2020, is also a F2W veteran and has put up a great fight against some big names in the sport; he lost a narrow split decision against Tama at F2W 159.

Before the co-main, multiple-time No-Gi World Champion Samir Chantre will take on three-time No-Gi Pans champion Gianni Grippo. Chantre’s last competitive endeavor saw him defeat Orlando Castillo at F2W 176, while Grippo most recently made a big impression by making his way to the finals of the Emerald City Invitational to defeat Kennedy Maciel to win the whole thing.

As always, these matches will be preceded by many other exciting matches featuring athletes of all ages and experience levels.

F2W 182 will take place tonight, August 28, and can be streamed live on FloGrappling.
