Hot on the heels of his victory last weekend against Bo Nickal at 3rd Coast Grappling III, Gordon Ryan has already booked another match with the Texas-based promotion, this time against Patrick Gaudio.

3CG promotor Ryan McGuire has announced that Ryan and Gaudio will face off at the promotion’s fourth major event, which will be held on March 14. Their bout will be a rematch — the two faced off in the quarter-finals at No-Gi Worlds last year, and Ryan narrowly beat Gaudio to advance to the semi-finals, then the finals, then the top of the podium. In the announcement, McGuire praised both competitors, calling Ryan “the GOAT” and Gaudio “the last guy to really push the GOAT.”

Ryan’s return to the 3CG stage will be even more hype-worthy given what he accomplished over the weekend. In an exciting “wrestling vs. BJJ” showdown, Ryan managed to finish off the very accomplished Nickal with a triangle-armbar. Gaudio joins Ryan as a fellow ADCC 2019 veteran, where he put on an impressive performance both in his division and the absolute.

Ryan vs. Gaudio is the second big match to be announced for 3CG IV; a Nick Rodriguez vs. wrestler Pat Downey rematch was announced just last week.

If you can’t be in Houston to see the event for yourself, 3CG IV will stream live on FloGrappling on March 14, 2020.
