Helio Gracie talks about Rickson Gracie‘s record and how hid number of fights may be inflated. With his record of about fifty fights, it may seem that he wasn’t as active during his career. This however, can be misleading as other fighters like Rickson don’t only count their official matches.
They will also include amateur and tournament fights, inflating the number to around 400 fights. By this logic Helio Gracie would have an enormous fight record. He taught for several years and each of those bouts could drive his fight record into the millions. Helio Gracie isn’t a big fan of this method, preferring to keep his record to official matches only.
