Holly Holm’s father, Roger Holm spoke with the Submission Radio team after her daughter’s victory at UFC 193. Roger, a preacher, spoke about how her daughter got into combat sports, her career as a boxer and the weigh-ins at UFC 193 where Ronda Rousey tried to get into Holly’s head.
Roger said he told his daughter
“They (Ronda’s previous opponents) were already beaten before they got into the ring. Don’t get mesmerized by your opponent. “
He rationalized why Ronda created a confrontation with Holly at the weigh-ins.
“That was Ronda scared to death. She knew something like this was down the pipe and Ronda was trying to get her confidence back.”
