Jonathan Lipnicki became a star as soon as he became an actor. Aged just six, he landed a role in the hit movie Jerry Maguire.

Recently, the actor – who is now twenty-six – spoke to toofab about the price of his fame. Based on what he said in an interview on March 14, the worst part of his life was in the aftermath of his movie success.

Bullies targeted the actor during this period, which led to bouts of depression and anxiety. Lipnicki detailed how, as a teenager, he was ridiculed regularly by people who now have even friended him on Facebook. Lipnicki told toofab , the bullies told him that he was yesterday’s news and would never get another acting job.

Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) became a source of comfort to the actor. Under the instruction of Alan Zborovsky, Lipnicki reached the rank of brown belt. This improved his self esteem immeasurably.
