Can you be a functional athlete and smoke weed?
According to Kron Gracie, absolutely! Kron — the son of Rickson Gracie and grandson of BJJ founder Helio Gracie — was on an episode of The Smokebox a while back, and he defended the use of cannabis.
Kron, of course, isn’t the only high-level jiu-jitsu athlete to support marijuana use. 10th Planet owner Eddie Bravo and his student Joe Rogan are both avid pot smokers who have defended — and even praised — the use of weed. Former UFC welterweight championship contender Nick Diaz and his brother Nate are also marijuana use advocates.
