Marcelo Garcia recently provided an update on his health status via his official Instagram page. The jiu-jitsu legend, who announced a stomach cancer diagnosis back in January, recently underwent a successful surgery. According to Garcia, his doctors report that the cancer, thankfully, had not spread to his lymph nodes, and that the chances of recurrence are very low.
Though Garcia still has four more rounds of chemotherapy ahead of him, he has vowed to return to the mats as soon as possible.
