Grappling fans have more to look forward to with the ADCC trials super fights line-up expanding with new names. On April 15, Rafael Lovato Jr and Marcus “Buchecha” Almeida will battle for supremacy. The pair of Bruno Frazatto and Geo Martinez will also be locking horns.
These are all quality fighters with Almeida being the 2013 champion. He is considered as a legend in the sport. A knee injury kept him from competition but he is now fully recovered and ready to make a big comeback. The highly decorated Lovato is just as eager to put his impressive jiu jitsu skills to the test.
As for Frazatto and Martinez, this will be an interesting rematch after their fight in ADCC 2015. The former was victorious in that fight but the latter has had a successful run at EBI. After two years, we’ll see whether Martinez can finally even the score.
