This past weekend at UFC On Fox 18 in Newark, New Jersey…Ben Rothwell made MMA history when he became the first competitor to submit MMA legend Josh Barnett. Rothwell was able to accomplish this extraordinary feat by catching Barnett in what is known as a gogo choke. Since that fateful night, a video has popped up on Youtube showing Renzo Gracie Explaining The GOGO Choke. Rothwell may have given us the visual of what the gogo choke can do, but now it is Renzo Gracie’s turn to give us the educational look at the submission known as the gogo choke.
I think he is doing a plain old t-rex choke that I learned at one of his students seminars. The gogo choke seems to have an additional element when it comes to gripping.
