Nate Diaz Explains Two-Year UFC Absence

Nate Diaz is back in the headlines after two years away from the UFC octagon. Earlier today, it was announced that Diaz would face Dustin Poirier at UFC 230 on November 3. But then, when it was announced that Conor McGregor would make his UFC return headlining UFC 229 against Khabib Nurmagomedov, Diaz walked out of the press conference and suggested on social media that he’d be pulling out of the fight.

After the press conference, Diaz also told reporters that many of the rumors explaining his extended UFC absence were false. He claims that his two-year hiatus had more to do with a lawsuit than “pulling out of fights,” and at the end, he also had some harsh words for both McGregor and Nurmagomedov.
