Nate Diaz Honored For Giving Back To The Kids And Adults Of The Community

Many people believe that winning in Jiu-Jitsu is the same as winning in any other individual sport. In other words, it takes superhuman dedication and extreme focus on training and improvement at the expense of all other things.

In the case of Nate Diaz, however, there is more to life than just endless reps in the dojo. In recognition of his leadership role in fostering community-mindedness in youth and adults, Nate Diaz was honored for his Jiu-Jitsu project that has given so much back to the community.

In a rare token of civic acknowledgement from outside Jiu-Jitsu circles, State Assemblyman Jim Cooper has seen fit to recognize Nate’s oversized impact on the community in which he lives and trains. The award serves notice that Nate Diaz is more than just a fighter, he is also a leader. The combination of those two roles in his life is certain to enhance his already formidable reputation, as well as swell the ranks of his many dedicated fans.
