UFC flyweight fighter Paige VanZant is officially a member of the jiu-jitsu purple belt squad.
VanZant earned her new rank yesterday from her coach, Fabiano Scherner, of American Top Team Portland.
VanZant hasn’t fought since January of this year, when she submitted Rachael Ostovich with an armbar at UFC Fight Night 143. Her next fight will take place on March 14 of next year, where she’s scheduled to face Amanda Ribas.
