Rener Gracie released a video entitled “Alton Sterling Killed by Police Officers” which broke down what happened in Dallas. He admits that it’s a complex issue but believes that deadly violence could have been prevented in this instance.
In his opinion, police officers should be given enough training so that they can confidently apprehend suspects without having to reach for their guns. Otherwise, physical encounters like this will continue to end in bloodshed. This affects not only the suspects but also their communities.
Gracie sends his condolences to the families of those who died in this tragedy. He hopes that authorities will begin to make positive changes in their training policies.
