Roberto “Cyborg” Abreu beat Vinny Magalhaes via points in the second super fight of tonight’s ADCC West Coast Trials.
A fight almost broke out early, when the two got into a rough collar tie and starting slapping each other. The referee, however, stepped in at the right time and the situation calmed down.
Cyborg went down into Magalhaes’ guard. Vinny used his half guard, but Abreu was able to power through and get the back, though he was not able to score any points.
The rest of the match told a similar tale, but it wasn’t until there was about three minutes left that Cyborg was able to get both of his hooks in and score three points.
Luckily, that was all he needed, and he took the match via points.
