All Gracie Network academies will offer training under the Royce Gracie Fighting Foundations name. The new curriculum will heavily stress proper execution of the fundamentals that serve as the building blocks for sophisticated BJJ techniques. A new emphasis on practical applications is part of this paradigm shift. Instructors will also emphasize how to handle situations involving modern weapons. The Valente brothers are completely onboard with these changes. They’ve been strong proponents of Grandmaster Helio Gracie’s methods, and they hoped that these techniques would become more popular over time.
