Here’s yet another example of why police officers need to learn Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
A group of police officers approached some young men sitting in a car. The officers smelled marijuana, which gave them a reason to search the car. One of the officers noticed a man reaching for his waist, so he had the gentleman step out of the car. While the officer was about to cuff him, the man ran.
He didn’t get far, though. The officer tackled him to the ground and took his back, hooking his feet around the man’s inner thighs. From there, the man was immobilized.
Another officer game to his partner’s aid and helped him disarm the suspect.
According to the video, no one was hurt.
