Tim Kennedy Retires From MMA


UFC middleweight Tim Kennedy is calling it quits from the sport he dedicated over fifteen years of his life to.

He announced his decision in a long Facebook post, where he cited age and just not just being himself anymore as reasons for his departure:

Tim Kennedy retired with an 18-6 professional record. He holds a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu under Royler Gracie and trained at Jackson Wink MMA Academy.

Kennedy is also well-known for serving in the national guard while fighting. He joined the army in 2004 and went on to complete Ranger School. He also holds a black belt in Mark Larsen’s Modern Army Combative Program.
