UFC Fighter Sean O’Malley Won $27,500 In A Fortnite Tournament & Donated It All To Charity

BJJ purple belt and UFC fighter Sean O’Malley has made a name for himself in the MMA world, but he’s also an avid (and apparently very skilled) gamer.

O’Malley, who’s undefeated in his professional MMA career and made his Fight 2 Win debut just a few months ago, competed and placed 8th in the Fortnite Championship Series, where he won $27,500 for the achievement. Then, he donated it all to an organization called Raising Special Kids.

Raising Special Kids is an organization that describes its mission as to “improve the lives of children with the full range of disabilities, from birth to age 26, by providing support, training, information and individual assistance so families can become effective advocates for their children.” They shared the news of O’Malley’s donation on social media:

“EXCITING UPDATE! Raising Special Kids was incredibly honored to receive a very generous donation today from Mr. Sean O’Malley @sugaseanmma ! Sean is not your average visitor to the office, he is an MMA fighter and video game enthusiast who placed 8th in the Fortnite World Series and donated all of his winnings to Raising Special Kids. We are thankful for his big heart and humbling generosity. Thank you Sean! Your donation will directly support Arizona special needs familiesđź’™

The donation would have been impressive even if O’Malley had enjoyed a particularly successful year in his fighting career, but in fact, he hasn’t fought at all this year and has only brought in $74,000 in disclosed earnings for the two UFC fights he’s competed in.

If you would also like to donate to Raising Special Kids, you can do so here.
