UFC Vegas 40: Anaconda Choke Earns Landwehr $50K Bonus – Full Results

Nate Landwehr’s first career submission came in style and earned him a $50K bonus. 

In 19 fights, Landwehr has made his punching power known but hasn’t shown off much of his grappling. In his words, “I still got power in these hands. I just wanted to show y’all I could do it. Ain’t a man alive that can out push me. This is just the beginning. I’ll take the submission bonus.” His boxing and muay Thai prowess were clear as he landed flurries of powerful combinations through 2 and a half rounds, eventually forcing a shot that he was able to successfully sprawl away from. From there, he moved to the front headlock position, then to a clean anaconda, earning him a quick tap.

Other fighters to earn bonuses were Danaa Batgerel, Bruno Silva, and Jim Miller. The only other submission was an RNC by Ariane Carnelossii in the first fight of the evening.
