Marvin Vettori was intent on punishing Paulo Costa
Joselyne Edwards showed the jiu-jitsu work she’s put in with Master Vic as she tried to work some rubber guard in her bout against Jessica-Rose Clark. While she lost the match by unanimous decision, Edward’s guard work looked solid. I didn’t agree with the referee’s decision to stand them up in round 1. While Clark wasn’t putting in much work with her top game, Edward was constantly trying to find opportunities from the bottom.
The only submission on the card came from Alex Caceres as he submitted Seung Woo Choi by RNC in the 2nd round. On two separate occasions, it seemed that Caceres was close to being KO’d. His comeback victory earned him a $50k bonus on the night.
Gregory Rodrigues and Jun Yong Park each picked up $50k bonuses for their Fight of the Night performances. Their fight was a back and forth battle with Rodrigues on the verge of being KO’d before he made a comeback with a swift combination that resulted in Park being knocked out cold.
