Recent, the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation announced an increase in prize money for all the men and women who ranked in the top ten this coming season. Former UFC fighter and longtime BJJ practitioner Vinny Magalhães on IBJJF prize money and what he has to say is not a pleasant thing. Magalhaes essentially bashed the companies so called lousy attempt at prize money, even saying how the European portion of the company would clear $300,000 in registration aloe, so the prize money should be increased even more. Whatever you may think about the IBJJF’s increase of prize money, it just goes to show that the bump in funds will not be making everybody happy.
