In case you somehow missed the news, Francis Ngannou is the new UFC Heavyweight Champion after knocking out Stipe Miocic at UFC 260.
The victory was a huge one for Ngannou, his team, and his fans. And if you thought the cheers were loud wherever you were watching the fight, we doubt any celebration could be as joyful as the scene in Ngannou’s hometown of Batié, Cameroon.
Many residents in Batié got up while it was still dark to watch the fight, and at about 5:15 in the morning, they got what they hoped for. Ngannou got the KO and the title, and the audience erupted in cheers.
