After defeating Jonnatas Gracie in the semifinals, Victor Hugo went on to face Fellipe Andrew (who had defeated 3CG: Kumite I champ Gustavo Batista in his own semifinal match) in the main event of 3rd Coast Grappling: Kumite II.
Finals
The two spent a couple of minutes on their feet trying to establish grips, but then, Hugo attempted a flying triangle on Andrew, which Andrew managed to escape from. However, the escape landed the two in the perfect position to attack each other’s feet, and Hugo came out ahead in that battle, submitting Andrew with an Estima lock and taking home the $10,000 grand prize.
The result was familiar to those who watched Fight 2 Win 143 earlier this month, when Hugo submitted Andrew in the main event.
