After A Major Hip Surgery John Danaher Is Back Teaching

John Danaher is a well-known figure within the BJJ realm, and his dedication to the sport is unwavering. Throughout the years, he’s proven his love for BJJ and advancing Jiu-Jitsu into the mainstream. Danaher recently underwent hip surgery of the major variety, which would have sidelined the average person for months.

That sounds incredible and perhaps impossible, right? Danaher, standing throughout the class on a crutch, instructed his usual class. For obvious reasons, he couldn’t perform the physical lessons, but two ranked students followed his instructions instead. It’s not uncommon for injured fighters and instructors to undergo surgery and take some time off.

As evidenced by his swift return, Danaher practices complete dedication to his art. Even a serious surgery couldn’t keep him out of Renzo Gracie’s New York City academy. Nobody can question Danaher’s dedication to BJJ!
