Anderson Silva And Kids Speak Out Against Drunk Driving

Today, one of the biggest names in MMA used his fame to help spread the word about an important issue.

Former Middleweight Champion and third-degree BJJ black belt Anderson “The Spider” Silva appeared next to his sons in order to warn people not only about driving drunk, but about texting or talking on the phone while behind the wheel.

“This is very serious,” Silva told viewers. “When you drive, please don’t drink. Don’t answer the phone, don’t pass text message. Please.”

The message was in response to the tragic events that occurred over Labor Day weekend when a drunk driver hit and killed 15-month-old Liam Kowal, the son of MMA fighter Marcus Kowal.

You can read more about Liam here and here.

Above the video Silva wrote that his “heart goes out to Marcus Kowal & his family.” He ended his message with the hashtag #RememberLiam.
