Former pro-wrestler and BJJ white belt CM Punk (0-0) and UFC welterweight Mickey Gall (2-0) are only a little over a week away from tangling at UFC 203. Earlier today, the UFC held a conference call between the fighters.
Gall was naturally confident that he was the more experienced fighter, arguing that he had experience actually fighting in front of crowds.
CM Punk was quick to address doubts about his skill after videos of him training went around the Internet.
“It was a correct depiction of where I was at when it was shot,” Punk said, referring to the videos. “Pre-back surgery, walking around with a herniated disc, 15 percent power in my left leg.”
The former WWE Champion – who is the longest reigning champion of the pro-wrestling promotion’s “modern era” – also said that while he was focused on this fight, rumors that it would be his only fight in the UFC were “premature.”
Still, he was not going to try to predict the future.
