Continuing in the footsteps of big MMA stars who also compete in grappling, #2-ranked UFC welterweight fighter Colby Covington will be testing his ground game when he competes at SubStars in February.

SubStars made the announcement earlier today, saying that as of right now, an opponent for Covington hasn’t yet been determined.

The promotion vocally supports U.S. veterans, offering gestures like providing free tournament registration to black belts and veterans. Convington will also be supporting the troops through his efforts in February — SubStars revealed that the fighter will be donating all his proceeds from the match to the Semper Fi Fund, which describes itself as “dedicated to providing immediate financial assistance and lifetime support to combat wounded, critically ill and catastrophically injured members of all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families.”

Covington and his undetermined opponent will headline SubStars on February 8, 2020 in Miami, Florida.
