Dana White: ‘We’ve Made Some Mistakes With Cyborg’

Anyone who has been following mixed martial arts knows that Cris “Cyborg” Justino has not been a huge fan of her current employer, the UFC.

Cyborg has repeatedly accused the organization of bullying and treating her unfairly.

Say what you want about UFC President Dana White, but he can admit when he screws up. For example, he admitted that his earlier refusal to let women fight in the UFC was a complete mistake.

Now, in an interview with MMA Junkie, White admitted that his organization ‘made some mistakes’ with Cyborg:

She’s had a rough go here in the UFC. She hasn’t been thrilled with things that have been said, things that have been done. And to be honest with you, we’ve made some mistakes when it comes to ‘Cyborg.’ So the least we can do is get our (expletive) together and get this woman a fight for the title.

Cyborg will be fighting for the vacant UFC Women’s Featherweight title on July 29 when she takes on Tonya Evinger at UFC 214. Her fight will be one of three title fights on the card.
