Many people use Jiu-Jitsu so that they can defend themselves against criminals. The sport involves grappling and a combination of strategic ground fighting techniques. The goal of the sport is for one contender to get the other contender on the ground. Once that person is on the ground, he or she will want to keep that person there. The Syrian team showed true sportsmanship and skill when they took home almost 20 awards for overtaking their opponents in the sport.
