Dillon Danis On Jon Jones: ‘I Don’t Know How You Can Call Someone A Douchebag When You Do Some Of The Things He Does’

Dillon Danis wants to fight in the cage, but despite being 0-0, he is not willing to fight for chump change.

“I want to fight,” Danis told Submission Radio. “I want to get my debut out there. It’s just sometimes the money’s not worth it. I’m not going to go away from something that I love, my passion, jiu-jitsu, for a friggin’ $700 for a fight or something like that. I’m going to take the big money fights. So, that’s why I’m negotiating right now with the bigger organizations.”

Danis didn’t name any of the organizations he’s negotiating with, but he did say the UFC has not contacted him yet. However, when and if they do, he said he will be ready.

“UFC’s my goal. That’s where the best fighters in the world are, and I want to prove that I’m the best fighter in the world.”

This might explain why Danis is taunting a man who could arguably be the best MMA fighter in the world, former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon “Bones” Jones.

Earlier today, Dillon trolled Bones on Twitter, referring to the former champion as a “nice boy” who asked him for a picture.

Danis also took the time to address Bones’ “douchey” comment.

“I don’t know how you can call someone a douchebag when you do some of the things he does. It doesn’t really make sense to me. I actually like Jon Jones. I have nothing against him. At the end of the day, all of this stuff is business and I respect him, but he can’t call somebody a douchebag for the things that he’s done. That doesn’t make sense.”

It won’t be anytime soon, though, that Dillon Danis gets in the cage or on the mats with Jones. Danis is already slated to fight multiple-time Worlds and Pan-Am Champion AJ Agazarm at the upcoming Submission Underground 3 event on January 29.

No word yet on what lies ahead for Jon Jones.
