While every sensei is going to be invested in his or her students, there’s no question that occasionally there is that promotion that is even more emotional than normal. Getting a promotion to the highest level of any martial art is an incredible recognition of years of training, hard work, and thousands upon thousands of matches that come with all that work and training.
