On Monday featured in Foxsports, director Guy Ritchie was celebrating the release of his new film: ‘The Man From U.N.C.L.E.’. Ritchie also had cause to celebrate, because he recently achieved black belt status in the martial art jiu-jitsu. An insider source claimed that Ritchie, who has been a brown belt jiu-jitsu practitioner for almost a decade, was given his new black belt by his sensei Renzo Gracie (a professional MMA fighter) at the afterparty for the film in the Bowery Hotel. After receiving the belt, Ritchie briefly posed wearing it for a photograph. As well as being an accomplished martial artist (Ritchie is a Judo black belt too), Madonna’s former husband is a musician – and he played guitar on set with Armie Hammer in between takes. Reportedly, Ritchie has a passion for traditional Irish folk tunes, and often improvises when playing live.
