GoFundMe Started For UFC Veteran Sam Stout After Death Of Month-Old Daughter

Former UFC lightweight fighter Sam Stout and his wife Jessie are in mourning following the unexpected passing of their daughter, Sydney, who was about a month old.

According to posts from Sam and Jessie, Sydney passed away in her sleep a few nights ago.

Most of you already know that we lost Sydney Love Stout in her sleep the night before last. We tried to save her but it was too late. The last month with her was the best month of my life, and this is now the worst time of my life… it still doesn’t feel real. Jessie and I haven’t let go of each other since yesterday and we will continue to hold on to one other for the rest of our lives. We will be eternally scared from this. We appreciate all the love we have already received from the people around us. We Love you Sydney bean.

In the midst of an outpouring of support for the family a GoFundMe was set up to help raise money for the Stout family (which also includes the couple’s six-year-old daughter Logan) to help them pay for “day-to-day costs, counseling, bills associated, etc.” The fundraiser originally aimed to earn $5,000 for the family, but it’s raised over $28,000 so far thanks to the generosity of fans and strangers.

While money can never replace the loss of a loved one, hopefully the extra funds will help make the recovery process even a little bit easier for the Stout family.
